HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO Criminal Petition Nos.3910, 3911, 3915 and 3920 of 2017 COMMON ORDER:

On 15.06.2017, when the above bail applications came up for hearing, it was thought apposite to call for the information from the trial Court as to the present stage of four S.C.Nos.595, 91, 90 and 73 of 2010. The trial Court submitted report in Dis.No.619/2017 dated 19.06.2017. From which, it is manifest that in all the cases on an average 4 to 5 witnesses are left over for completion of the trial.

The agony of the learned counsel for petitioner is that even during the hearing of previous bail application also number of witnesses left over for examination as per the submission of prosecution was, around 7 and even after completion of 7 months the progress in the trial was tardy and on average only three more witnesses could be examined and at this rate, it would take a long time for completion of trial and the petitioner has been languishing in jail since 81⁄2 years. On this submission, learned counsel would request to give a direction to the trial Court to complete the trial in the above cases within a fixed time frame. 2) Having regard to these facts and the letter submitted by the trial Court, this Court is of the opinion that a reasonable time has to be fixed for completion of trial in the above four cases.

3) Accordingly, while dismissing the bail applications as it is not apposite to grant bail while trial is coming to an end, the trial Court is directed to bestow its attention to S.C.Nos.

and complete the trial expeditiously but not later than three (3) months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. _________________________ U. DURGA PRASAD RAO, J Date: 20.06.2017 Murthy
