Petitioners were earlier appointed in the year 2003 on contract basis on payment of consolidated amount per month and renewed every year, during the academic session. Since the academic session is already over, at this stage no direction for continuation of services can be granted.

Leaving it open to the petitioners to seek appropriate remedy, if the tenure of the petitioners is not renewed for the next academic session, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
