ORDER

Pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 9.9.2016, the 8th respondent appeared before this Court today. This contempt case is filed complaining willful disobedience on the part of the respondents in implementing the orders passed by this Court in WP No.32411 of 2013, dated 13.11.2013 whereby the first respondent was directed to consider the cases of the petitioners for absorption/appointment to their respective posts in the aided vacancies, subject to fulfillment of all other conditions governing the subject, disregarding the Government Memo dated 20.10.2004, within three months.

After receipt of the said order, the then 8th respondent-District Educational Officer, Prakasam District, Ongole, passed an order on 26.5.2014 rejecting the cases of the petitioners for absorption into aided Secondary Grade Teachers as the management did not fulfil the conditions prescribed in the rules.

In view of the same, nothing survives for adjudication in this contempt case.

Accordingly, the contempt case is closed. However, the petitioners are at liberty to take appropriate legal proceedings in accordance with law, if they are aggrieved by the order dated 26.5.2014 passed by the District Educational Officer.
