Respondents COUNSEL FOR THE PETITIONER: Mr. K. Venkatesh Gupta COUNSEL FOR RESPONDENT NOs.1, 2, 4, 5 and 6: Mr. S. Santosh Kumar, Assistant Government Pleader attached to the Office of the Advocate General (TS) THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:
CVNR, J & MSKJ, J WP 38438/2016 ORDER: (per the Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy) This writ petition is filed for issue of habeas corpus by giving a direction to respondent No.3 to produce one Ms. Ramyaka Varshini (the alleged detenue) in the Court.
In pursuance of the direction issued by this Court, respondent No.3 has produced the alleged detenue. We have interviewed her in the chambers and elicited her opinion. She has informed us that she has not married the petitioner and she has even denied her knowledge regarding the photographs filed by the petitioner, which purportedly show that marriage has taken place between the two. As the alleged detenue expressed her disinclination to join the petitioner, the relief claimed by the petitioner cannot be granted.
Hence, the writ petition is dismissed, leaving the petitioner free to avail his other legal remedies.
