This Writ Petition is filed challenging the action of the respondents in not renewing the recognition of the petitioner - School. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the third respondent issued a final notice on 15.02.2017 stating that the School was functioning without prior permission or recognition from the competent authority since 2013 and running the classes from I to X. It is also stated that the earlier recognition for Classes I to VII expired on 31.05.2013 and there was absolutely no permission and recognition for Classes VIII to X prior to 31.05.2013 and thereafter. In those circumstances, the petitioner was asked to submit an explanation. The petitioner, accordingly, submitted an explanation on the same day, which was received by the third respondent on 27.02.2017.

In the circumstances, in view of pendency of the explanation before the third respondent, this Court is not inclined to interfere at this stage as the matter is pending consideration before the third respondent. However, the third respondent is directed to consider the explanation submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon within a period of fifteen (15) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
