Sri Durga Bhavan, v. M. Lakshmana Kumar,
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.6246 of 2005 ORDER:
This writ petition was filed by the petitioner hotel assailing the Award dated 01.10.2003 passed by the Labour Court, Guntur, in I.D.No.147 of 1997.
Significantly, the 1st respondent workman filed Writ Petition No.1135 of 2005 before this Court aggrieved by the very same award to the extent it denied him relief. The said writ petition was closed by order dated 31.03.2010 on the ground that even during the pendency of the I.D., the hotel in which the petitioner therein was working was closed down and the premises was leased out to some other person. This Court therefore opined that nothing survived in the writ petition for further adjudication. Sri M.Srikanth, learned counsel for the petitioner hotel, states that pursuant to the award, his client paid compensation to the 1st respondent workman.
In the light of the afore-stated facts, this Court is of the opinion that no adjudication is called for in this writ petition and the same is accordingly dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
