When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is informed that the petitioner has retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation and the petitioner has challenged the order of reversion dt.07.03.2001.

In view of the above, this Court is of the considered view that since the petitioner has retired from service, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication and accordingly, this writ petition is closed. No order as to costs. As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed.
