When the matter is taken up for hearing, counsel for petitioner has submitted that the issue raised in this writ petition has been compromised by way of settlement, and in view of such settlement, no further orders are necessary and the writ petition may be closed. In view of the above said submission, this Court is of the considered view that the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed as infructuous. No order as to costs.
