HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 6234 OF 2004 ORDER :

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is noticed that the petitioner is seeking promotion to the post of Assistant Depot Clerk with effect from 1987, instead of 29.09.1988. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition in the year 2004 after nearly 16 years from the date of his promotion contending that he should be promoted with effect from 1987. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition belatedly after a long delay of nearly 16 years. Only on this ground, the Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed. Apart from that as the petitioner has attained the age of superannuation during the pendency of Writ Petition the relief sought by the petitioner to promote him at this point of time, with effect from 1987 may not be feasible. In view of the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed.
