The petitioner prays for the following relief: ....that the Honble Court may be pleased to issue an appropriate writ or direction, more in the nature of writ of mandamus for inaction of respondent No.1 in not taking any steps U/Sec 3 of Andhra Pradesh Protection of Depositors of Financial Establishments Act 1999 to attach the property of Akshaya Gold lying in various banks in the form of fixed deposits, current accounts or lands purchased by them at various places and also direct the Additional Director General of Police CID or Inspector General of Police C.I.D who are competent authority (as per G.O 193 Home Dept. 23.8.2001) to seize or confiscate the properties of Akshaya Gold and to take necessary action as per rules prescribed AP Protection of Depositors of Financial Establishment Rules 1999 G.O Ms No.347 (29.10.1977) is illegal arbitrary unconstitutional and pass such....."
The Assistant Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the properties of Akshaya Gold Farms and Villas India Limited have been attached and the same is subject matter of PIL in this Court. With the passage of time and due to subsequent developments, this Court is of the view that the petitioner is not interested in working out the writ prayer.
The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed for default. There shall be no order as to costs.
