THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.11230 OF 2013 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to issue an order or direction more particularly, in the nature of writ of mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in not receiving the application and fee for providing extension of domestic electricity supply connection to the petitioner's house property bearing No.7-53-1 situated at Sreenagar Colony, Avilala Gram Panchayat, Tirupati Rural Mandal, Chittoor District as illegal and arbitrary and consequently, to direct the respondents to receive the application with fee for grant of domestic electricity service connection to the petitioner's house property in accordance with law and to extend the supply. 2.

Heard and perused the record.

This Court passed an interim order on 22.4.2013 directing the respondents to receive the petitioner's application for grant of extension of domestic electricity service connection to his house and process the same in accordance with the Rules and consider the same within two weeks from the date of receipt of that application. Today, when the matter is called, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that subsequent to the said interim order, the application of the petitioner was considered and electricity service connection was given to the house of the petitioner. Hence, this Court is of the view that nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition and therefore, the Writ Petition is liable to be disposed of as infructuous.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
