THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY W.P.NO.31788 OF 2016

O R D E R

The case of the petitioners is that they are the legal heirs of one late Chinta Narsaiah, who is the owner of the subject land in the writ petition and they have been in long standing possession and pattadar pass books and title deeds were issue. The office of the 2nd respondent - District Collector issued notices to them to show cause as to why the pattadar pass books and title deeds shall not be cancelled, as the subject land is notified as forest land. The grievance of the petitioners is that though they submitted explanation on 18.8.2016, no orders have been passed till date and the respondents are trying to dispossess them from the subject land. Hence, the writ petition. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue.

Since the petitioners have already filed their explanation, it is for the 2nd respondent - District Collector to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. Till passing of final orders in pursuance to the show cause notices dated 11.8.2016, status quo obtaining as on today with regard to possession over the subject land in the writ petition, shall be maintained. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions pending if any, shall stand closed. AVS ------------------------------------- 21-09-2016
