THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.KESHAVA RAO WRIT PETITION NO.23472 OF 2014 ORDER:

Heard Mr. Ponnam Ashok Goud, learned counsel for the petitioner.

The prayer sought in the Writ Petition is as under:- "...to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the 2nd respondent vide FIR No.99 of 2014, dated 26.04.2014 seizing the vehicle of the petitioner is without jurisdiction, highly arbitrary, violative of principles of natural justice contrary to the provisions of A.P. Excise and Prohibition Act suffers from non-application of mind and quash the same as illegal and unsustainable and consequently direct the respondent No.2 to release the vehicle of the petitioner i.e., APPE Auto bearing No.AP-24-X-3952 and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

When the matter is called, the learned counsel for the petitioner informs the Court that pursuant to the order dated 26.08.2014 passed by this Court, the subject vehicle was already released to the petitioner and no further orders are required in this Writ Petition.

Taking the said submission into consideration, this Court is of the view that no cause would survive in the Writ Petition.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed.
