HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 26392 of 2003 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not extending the career advancement scheme benefits to the petitioners, as illegal and arbitrary.

While admitting the writ petition, this Court directed the respondents to extend the benefits of the automatic advancement scheme to the petitioners as per A.P.Aided Institution Act, 2000 as amended under Act 5 of 2003, if they are eligible otherwise, vide orders dated 22.12.2003 in WPMP No.33382 of 2003. The said interim orders were modified vide orders dated 28.10.2004 in WVMP No.2962 of 2004, by directing the 1st respondent to consider the letter dated 01.05.2004 of the 2nd respondent with regard to the extension of the benefit of the scheme to the staff of the private junior college/degree colleges and pass appropriate orders. In view of the interim orders passed by this Court, no further orders are necessary in the writ petition.

Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
