Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

Against the proceedings of the 2nd respondent - District Collector dated 31.05.2018 rejecting the renewal of gun license, petitioner filed appeal to the 1st respondent on 04.06.2018 and the same is pending consideration. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on merits, writ petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner in accordance with law, after issuing notice and opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
