THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL REVISION CASE No.2201 of 2015 ORDER:

This Criminal Revision Case is filed by the petitioners - accused Nos.1 to 7 challenging the order, dated 27.08.2015, passed in Special Sessions Case No.23 of 2015 by the Special Sessions Judgecum-VII Additional District & Sessions Judge, Ongole. Heard and perused the material available on record. The de facto complainant made a private complaint against the petitioners before the Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Markapur. The learned Magistrate took cognizance of the case against the petitioners for the offences under Sections 506 IPC and 3 (1) (x) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act (for short SCs and STs (POA) Act). After completion of investigation, police filed final report. After receipt of summons, the petitioners were appeared before the committal Court.

Thereafter, the case was transferred to the Sessions Court. When the petitioners appeared before the Sessions Court, the learned Sessions Judge directed them to obtain bail for the offences under Sections 506 IPC and 3 (1) (x) of SCs and STs (POA) Act, otherwise they would be committed to the Jail. Aggrieved by the said order, the present revision case is filed.

The petitioners are directed to appear before the Committal Court and execute personal bond for a sum of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only) with one surety each for their appearance before the Sessions Court. The committal Court is directed to accept the sureties and inform the same to the Sessions Court.

With the above directions, the Criminal Revision Case is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
