HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.20868 of 2005 ORDER :

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents - Company has informed that the petitioners have opted for promotion in a different category and their cases were considered and they were promoted as Assistant Foremen Trainees and the petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking promotion to the post of Charge Hand (Electrical, Grade-B). The learned Standing Counsel further informs that in view of the petitioners' case being considered for promotion to the posts of Assistant Foremen Trainees, the cause in this writ petition does not survive for adjudication.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has also not disputed about the said fact.

In view of the said submission, since the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. Interim order dated 23.09.2005 shall stand vacated. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this writ petition shall stand closed.
