HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.22701 OF 2018 O R D E R :

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the 2nd respondent in interfering with the personal liberty of the petitioners by calling them to the police station at the instance of the respondents 3 to 6 and directing them to settle their civil disputes with the unofficial respondents.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions stating that on the complaint of respondents 3 and 6, two crimes were registered vide Crime Nos.85/2018 and 86/2018 and investigation is pending; and that except proceeding with the investigation in the aforesaid two crimes, as per law, the respondents police never interfered with the civil disputes of the petitioners.

Recording the aforesaid submission of the learned counsel, the writ petition is disposed of. However, this order will not preclude the respondent police from investigating the aforesaid crimes. It goes without saying that the respondent police shall not interfere with the civil disputes of the petitioners. No order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
