I.A.No.1 of 2025 This application is filed under Section 484(2) of Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS), seeking to reduce the surety amount imposed by this Court in Crl.P. No.10600 of 2024 on 20.09.2024.

Heard Sri S. Chandrashekhar Yadav, learned counsel for the petitioner/accused No.1 and Mr. Syed Yasar Mamoon, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent/State.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is accused No.1 in Crime No.118 of 2024 on the file of P.S.

Abdullapurmet, registered for the offences punishable under Section 8 (C) read with Section 20 (b) (ii) (C) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short NDPS Act, 1985) and the petitioner approached this Court by filing

Crl.P.No.10600 of 2024 for grant of regular bail and this Court allowed the above said petition on 20.09.2025 with certain conditions one of which is that, the petitioner shall be released on bail on his executing a personal bond for Rs.20,000/- with two sureties for the like sum each to the satisfaction of Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Ranga Reddy District at L.B.Nagar. He further submits that, due to the poor financial condition, the petitioner is unable to execute the personal bond for the said amount as directed by this Court and the petitioner is still in jail and if the said surety amount is not reduced, the petitioner will be put to great hardship and requested to reduce the surety amount from Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand only) to Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only).

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has not opposed the same.

Taking into consideration the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and having regard to the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, the surety amount of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees

Twenty Thousand only) imposed by this Court is reduced to Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only).

Accordingly, the petitioner shall be released on bail on executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) instead of Rs.20,000/-, with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Ranga Reddy District at L.B.Nagar and the other conditions imposed by this Court in the above said order remains unaltered.

Accordingly, I.A.No.1 of 2025 is allowed.
