Petitioner is challenging the order of District Collector, Bhadradri Kothagudem, dated 19.06.2018, suspending him from service. Against the order of suspension the remedy of appeal is provided. Without availing the said remedy, this writ petition is filed.

It is not the case of petitioner that the District Collector is not competent to place the petitioner under suspension. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner sought to contend that the present suspension is based on the adverse news item published in a newspaper and therefore suspension is not warranted based on such news item. However, a reading of the order would show that based on the adverse news item published in the daily newspaper, the matter was examined and the competent authority prima-facie, noticed certain irregularities and in the process of enquiring into those irregularities, suspension was ordered. Therefore, it is not the case of non-application of mind by the authority, for this Court to interfere at this stage. 5.

Thus, leaving it open to the petitioner to avail the remedy of appeal, the Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
