Petitioner was working as Assistant Project Manager in the respondent - Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty. After expiry of the term of contract of the petitioner, by order dated 20.01.2018, the Chief Executive Officer-cum-Disciplinary Authority of the Society declined to renew the contract for further period. Aggrieved thereby, petitioner preferred appeal to the Chairperson of the respondent - Society on 10.04.2018. Petitioner filed the acknowledgement of the receipt of said appeal sent by registered post. Alleging inaction on the said appeal, this Writ Petition is filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development agree for disposal of the Writ Petition with a direction to the 2nd respondent - appellate authority to pass orders on the appeal filed by the petitioner within a fixed time frame.

Having regard to the said submission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider the appeal preferred by the petitioner on 10.04.2018 and to pass orders in accordance with law by assigning due reasons in support of the decision within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
