THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE No.502 of 2016 ORDER:

This contempt case was instituted alleging willful disobedience to the order dated 18.01.2016 passed in W.P.No.1045 of 2016. By the said order, the State of Telangana, being the appellate authority, was directed to consider the petitioner's appeal filed against the order dated 19.10.2015 of the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, on merits and pass reasonable orders thereon in accordance with law. The order dated 19.10.2015 pertains to rejection of the petitioner's application for grant of an arms licence.

Learned Government Pleader for Home, State of Telangana, would inform this Court that by Memo No.17294/Arms/2015 dated 21.09.2016, the Principal Secretary to Government, Home (Arms) Department, Government of Telangana, rejected the petitioner's appeal on merits. A copy of the said Memo is placed on record.

In the light of this development, the order stands duly complied with.
