2. Petitioner, who claims to be owner of Mini Trolley Mahindra and Mahindra vehicle bearing registration No.AP 22Y 3540, states that the said vehicle was stated to have been seized by respondent No.3 in Crime No.36 of 2015 registered against one Regula Sambaiah and three others. Petitioner states that his vehicle was implicated in the said offence and has been seized and is lying with respondent No.3. Petitioner sought release of the vehicle by filing an application on 19.02.2015 before respondent No.2. Alleging that no action is being taken on the said application, the present writ

petition is filed.

3. Learned Government Pleader for Excise submits that respondent No.2 will consider petitioner's application and pass appropriate orders at the earliest.

4. Since the power of release is with respondent No.2, writ petition is disposed of directing him to obtain valuation of the vehicle from the concerned Motor Vehicle Inspector of his jurisdiction and consider the petitioner's application and pass appropriate orders expeditiously within a week from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
