HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 17021 of 2012 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents. With the consent of the parties, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the application dated 19.05.2012 made by the petitioners seeking mutation of their names in the revenue records with regard to the land admeasuring Acs.200.23 guntas in Survey No.782 (old) corresponding to new Survey Nos.782/1 to 782/6 situated at Devarayamjal Village, Shamirpet Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, is illegal and arbitrary.

Though various grounds are raised in the writ petition, the learned counsel for the petitioners restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the 4th respondent to dispose of the application of the petitioners dated 19.05.2012, at the earliest. The learned Government Pleader for revenue did not object to the same, but however, submits that such direction may be given, provided the application of the petitioners is still pending consideration.

Having regard to the circumstances stated above and without going into the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the 4th respondent to consider and dispose of the application of the petitioners dated 19.05.2012, if it is still pending consideration, in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions if any pending in the writ petition shall stand dismissed.
