HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI W.P.(TR). No.160 of 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition is being disposed of at the admission stage with the consent of both the parties.

The petitioner was promoted as Work Inspector Grade-III in the year 1998. His grievance is that he is fully eligible and qualified for the promotion to the post of Work Inspector Grade-II from 2002 onwards. He also filed a representation on 01-12-2010 to the respondents to consider his case for promotion to the said post. But the respondents are not taking any action thereon. Challenging the inaction of the respondents, the petitioner filed this Writ Petition.

Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the 1st respondent will consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01-12-2010 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

This Court, having considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for respective parties, is of the considered view that the Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
