On 20.06.2018, this Court granted interim order in I.A. No.1 of 2018 in W.P.No.19680 of 2018. Alleging violation of the said order, this Contempt Case is filed.

Interim directed granted was to permit the petitioner to join his duties as Home Guard pursuant to his transfer Passport, dated 12.09.2017.

Learned Special Government Pleader for Home produced a copy of the order dated 07.07.2018 removing the petitioner from service. This order was passed within few days after the interim order was granted by this Court. Once an employee is removed from service, question of granting permission to join duty does not arise. Therefore, it cannot be said that there is violation, much less willful and deliberate, warranting initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents.

The Contempt Case is accordingly closed.
