THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM C.C.No.1614 of 2018 and W.P.No.1921 of 2018 COMMON ORDER The Contempt Case is filed alleging non-compliance of the order dated 12.02.2018 passed in I.A.No.1 of 2018 in W.P.No.1921 of 2018, wherein this Court directed the respondent herein to deposit the requisite amount for completing the award proceedings expeditiously, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the said order.

The writ petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in not publishing the draft declaration under Section 19 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 in respect of the land admeasuring Ac.1.24 gts in Sy.No.597, situated at Hanamkonda Revenue Village, Warangal Urban District and to pay the compensation by passing the award, as illegal and arbitrary.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that an award was passed on 09.11.2018 by the Land Acquisition Officer and therefore, no orders need be passed in the contempt case as well as writ petition.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the Contempt Case and the Writ Petition are closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedies as available under law, if he is not satisfied with the quantum of compensation awarded by the Land Acquisition Officer. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
