THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SEETHARAMA MURTI CRIMINAL PETITION No.5529 of 2017 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioner/A1 requesting to quash the proceedings in Crime No.62 of 2017 on the file of Women Police Station, Begumpet, Hyderabad, registered against the petitioner/A1 and other accused for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 & Sections 4 and 6 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

At the hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, having made submissions for some time, requested to dispose of the Criminal Petition directing the police concerned to follow the guidelines enunciated by the Supreme Court in Arnesh Kumar vs. State of Bihar1. He would further submit that the other accused are already granted anticipatory bail and the application for grant of bail filed by the peitiotner/A1 is dismissed.

In view of the aforestated submissions, and without going into the merits of the matter, the investigating agency is directed to follow the guidelines of the Supreme Court in Arnesh Kumar's case (referred supra).
