ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "... to issue an appropriate writ order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in rejecting the petitioners plea of providing employment in the respondents Corporation by their Letter E7/785(2)/99-R.M (T), dated 23-8-1999 as illegal, arbitrary and principles of natural justice." Heard Sri Y.Narasimha Reddy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri A.Rama Rao, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Corporation. It is the case of the petitioner that while rendering 24 years of service in the respondent-Corporation, his father expired on 23.04.1993. Thereafter, he submitted an application seeking appointment on compassionate grounds. But, his case was rejected by the respondents on 23.08.
1999 on the ground that there is no suitable post available to him. The respondent-Corporation offered additional monetary benefit in lieu of appointment on compassionate grounds.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Corporation contends that as of now, the petitioner is aged 52 years and hence, the question of appointment on compassionate grounds does not arise. Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is of the view that ends of justice would be met if a direction is given to the respondent-Corporation to consider the case of the petitioner. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent-Corporation to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds in accordance with the Rules in vogue and pass appropriate orders within a period four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
