This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the second respondent in considering the petitioner representations dated 30.12.2013 and 17.09.2014, as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to law and consequently to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner representations and appoint him as single trustee of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple situated at Sambamurthy Nagar, Kakinada Town. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue.
The petitioner submitted representations to the second respondent to appoint him as a trustee of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple situated at Sambamurthy Nagar, Kakinada Town. For one reason or other, the second respondent has not disposed of the representations of the petitioner.
The only relief sought by the petitioner is to direct the second respondent to dispose of his representations. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, second respondent is hereby directed to dispose of the representations of the petitioner dated 30.12.2013 and 17.09.2014 in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
