Petitioner retired from service on 31.05.2013 as Assistant Grade - II. He claims that he is entitled to increment w.e.f. 01.01.2007 under the Stagnation Impact Amelioration Scheme, 2014 (for short 'the Scheme') for categories III and IV employees of Food Corporation of India, which scheme is introduced retrospectively from 01.08.2008. Petitioner made representation dated 23.11.2017 to extend the benefit under the Scheme. Alleging inaction on the said representation, this Writ Petition is filed.

Since petitioner has already submitted representation, dated 23.11.2017, and the same is pending consideration, without expressing any opinion on merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Executive Director (South), Zonal Office of the Food Corporation of India, the 3rd respondent, to whom the representation is made, to examine the claim of the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law and communicate the decision to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
