THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SEETHARAMA MURTI WRIT PETITION No.22853 of 2018 ORDER:

The request of the petitioner in this Writ Petition is to direct the second respondent to conduct an enquiry on the representation, dated 28.05.2018, of the petitioner and to take a considered decision in the matter in the interests of justice. I have heard the submissions of Smt.Akula Sunitha, learned counsel for the petitioner, and that of the learned Government Pleader for Revenue (AP), appearing for the respondents.

The case of the petitioner, as per the submissions, is that his father died in a motor accident on 06.11.2017; his father is having four children, including the petitioner; they belong to poorer section of the society; and they approached the Government by filing an application for extending the benefit under the "Chandranna Bheema" scheme, which is intended to provide relief to the families of unorganized workers in case of death or disability of a member of the family, who is an unorganized worker and who leaves the family in great distress on his death or becoming disabled. However, the Government is not considering the representation for the reason that the age of the deceased was entered as 70 years instead of 52 years in the Aadhar Card. Therefore, a representation was given for conducting an enquiry and recording the correct age of the

deceased in the records. However, the same is not being considered and disposed of. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, if a direction is given to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, as prayed for, ends of justice would be met. Learned Government Pleader endorses the said submission. Recording the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to consider and dispose of the aforestated representation of the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, and preferably, within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and communicate the decision taken thereon to the petitioner, within a period of one week thereafter.
