HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 28269 of 2011 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Revenue. With the consent of both the parties, the writ petition is being heard at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to entertain the application of the petitioners for grant of patta and pass appropriate orders thereon after providing opportunity; and consequently direct the respondent to issue patta to the petitioners forthwith.

Though the petitioners claiming various reliefs but their main grievance is that the representations made to the respondent is not considered till date and hence seek a direction. Without going into the merits of the case and having regard to the circumstances stated in the writ petition, respondent is hereby directed to consider the representations, if any made by the petitioners and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
