Heard.

The grievance of the petitioner is that her vehicle bearing No.TN-05-AQ-0193 was seized in a forest offence by the 4th respondent and it is stated that the 3rd respondent is the competent authority to consider the request for release of the vehicle in question. However, the petitioner has moved this writ petition on the allegation that the 3rd respondent has neither received application nor considered the same. Therefore, she has sent the application for release of the vehicle by registered post with acknowledgment due and a copy of the acknowledgment, dated 27-03-2015 is also filed showing that the said application was received by the 3rd respondent.

On 26-03-2015, though two weeks time was granted to the learned Government Pleader for Forests for getting instructions, he is unable to get instructions.

However, in view of the petitioner's contention that her application for release of the vehicle in question is pending with the 3rd respondent, I deem it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition by directing the 3rd respondent to consider the aforesaid application of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. No order as to costs.
