This writ petition is filed challenging the notice No.UC/79/TPS/MC/MNK/2019, dated 15.11.2019, issued by the 2nd respondent.

Heard Sri N.Praveen Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for respondents 2 and 3 who submits that under new Act no notices are required to issue for removing the unauthorized structures. Since admittedly, the Municipalities Act, 1965 is repealed and the impugned notices are issued under the said enactment, the same are quashed on that ground. However, it is open for the respondent Municipality to take action in accordance with law. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
