O R D E R

Alleging that respondents are calling the petitioners to the police station and insisting to pay huge amounts to the wife of the petitioner No.1 and interfering with family dispute, the present writ petition is filed. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions of the Sub Inspector of Police, Eluru II Town Police Station, West Godavari District, denying the allegations of the petitioners. In the written instructions it is stated that one Arasavalli Venkateshwara Rao, submitted a written representation dated 18.06.2018 stating that 1st petitioner is his son-in-law and that he is not leading marital life with his wife and, therefore, requested for counseling 1st petitioner. The said representation was entered in the general diary at volume No.2 at Srl.No.

77 dated 18.06.2018. Accordingly, on 19.06.2018, the petitioners were informed to attend counseling to pacify their family dispute. Further, the 2nd respondent informed the police that a case was registered at Police vizianagaram, based on the complaint of her daughter-in-law and the same is pending trial. As the issue is stated to be pending before the court, the respondent police did not call the writ petitioners, or his family members to the police station.

Recording the above statement made in the written instructions, the writ petition is disposed of.

It goes without saying that life and liberty of the petitioners shall not be interfered with, except by following due process of law. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
