HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE DILIP B. BHOSALE AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No. 8094 of 2016 PC: (per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale) Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioners, in the instant writ petition, challenges special notice of property - new assessment, dated 31.03.2015. We have perused the notice. Notice itself has a note stating that in case the addressee is dissatisfied with the assessment fixed, he may present revision to the Municipal Commissioner within 30/60 days. There is no dispute that the revision is provided against such notice. In view thereof, learned counsel for the petitioners, submits that the petitioners may be permitted to file revision within a period of two weeks from today and a direction may be issued to the Commissioner to decide the notice on merits in accordance with law, within time frame. Sri N. Praveen Kumar, learned counsel for respondent No.3, submits that if the revision is filed within a period of two weeks, as aforementioned, the Commissioner shall decide the notice within eight weeks therefrom.

In the circumstances, we dispose of the writ petition by the following order:

"Petitioners shall file revision against the notice, dated 31.03.2015, within a period of two weeks from today. The Commissioner shall consider the petitioners' revision and decide the same within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the revision. Till the revision is finally decided, no coercive action be taken against the petitioners."

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand disposed of.
