O R D E R

Heard Sri Jakkamsetti Ravindra, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Nimmagadda Venkateswarlu, learned standing counsel for Amalapuram Municipality and Sri M. Ravinder, learned counsel for the third respondent.

The prayer of the petitioner in this case is as under: 'For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, the petitioner prays that the Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a writ or order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondent No. 2 and 3 in not passing any orders on the applications filed by the petitioner dated 31.3.2016 and 2.4.2016 respectively for laying cable wires through electrical poles in and around Amalapuram Town as illegal, without jurisdiction, violative of Articles 14, 21 and 300-A of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to grant permission to the petitioner to lay the cable TV wire to start the business in the name and style of Vickram Siti Cable situated at D.No.7-3-602/2, yarramilivari Street Amalapuram and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.'

Sri Nimmagadda Venkateswarlu, learned standing counsel, states on instructions that the petitioner's applications dated 31.03.2016 and 02.04.2016 are still pending consideration before the municipal authorities. He would point out that earlier, the petitioner had made a similar application but no action was taken thereupon as required documents and data were not furnished by the petitioner. In the light of the aforestated submission, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Amalapuram Municipality to consider the petitioner's applications dated 31.03.2016 and 02.04.2016 within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and inform the petitioner in the event there is any shortfall of documents or data. In the

event the petitioner fulfills such lacuna within one week thereafter, the Amalapuram Municipality shall reconsider the petitioner's applications dated 31.03.2016 and 02.04.2016 in accordance with law and take appropriate action thereon expeditiously and in any event, not later than two weeks therefrom.
