HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE R.KANTHA RAO Writ Petition No.26466 of 2015 Order:

Heard Sri M.Ramgopal Rao, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Sri Bathula Raj Kiran, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents-LIC of India.

2. This writ petition is filed to declare that the petitioners are entitled for appointment/absorption to the post of Sub Staff/Assistants as per the service rendered by them in the respondents-Corporation along with others with all consequential benefits in terms of Apex Court judgment in C.A.No.6950 of 2009 dated 18-3-2015 holding the action of the respondents vide Notice dated 21-7-2015 inviting applications only from the candidates who were appointed between 20-5-1985 to 04-3-1991 and not receiving the applications of the petitioners who were appointed subsequently as illegal and arbitrary.

3. The 1st petitioner was appointed as Temporary Assistant and the petitioners 2 to 13 were appointed as Temporary Sub Staff in the respondents-Corporation during the years 1994 to 2001. The respondents-Corporation has been issuing salary vouchers by mentioning their names along with other regular employees. But, the respondentsCorporation has not considered the cases of the petitioners for regularisation.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that though the petitioners have been working continuously for the last 10 years, the respondentsCorporation has not considered their cases for appointment/absorption and the representation dated 17-8-2015 made by them is pending before the respondents-Corporation and so far, no orders have been passed thereon.

5. Considering the aforesaid submission, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents-Corporation to consider the representation dated 17-8-2015 submitted by the petitioners within a period of 8 (eight) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and pass appropriate orders according to law. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No costs.
