HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE A. RAMALI NGESWARA RAO Writ Petition No. 10698 of 2017 Order:
This Writ Petition is filed challenging the action of the third respondent in interfering with the life and liberty of the petitioner by summoning him to the Police Station.
The petitioner states that he filed Crl.M.P.No.891 of 2016 before the learned Sessions Judge, Ananthapuram, seeking anticipatory bail and the same was dismissed by an order dated 21.09.2016. After disposal of the said application, the police are visiting the house of the petitioner and harassing him. The order of the lower Court in Crl.M.P.No.891 of 2016 itself shows that the copy of the bail order was marked to the Superintendent of Police, Ananthapuram, in order to verify whether a case was registered against the petitioner or not. If no case is registered and the petitioner is unnecessarily harassed, it is open to the petitioner to bring it to the notice of the same Superintendent of Police, Ananthapuram for taking appropriate action against the officers who are harassing him. Granting such liberty, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
