THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 26326 of 2019 O R D E R:
The case of the petitioner is that he is a Class-V Contractor and undertaking civil, mechanical, electrical and transporting works in the respondent Corporation; that till recently, he is being awarded the works and that all of a sudden, for the past few months, he is not being awarded any work though there was no complaint against him at any point of time. In the circumstances, he seeks a direction to the respondents to allot the civil contract works to him.
Though the matter was adjourned on three occasions to enable the learned Standing Counsel to file counter-affidavit, no counter-affidavit is filed and no instructions reported. Today also, the same position continues.
Having regard to the nature of the relief which the petitioner sought, subject to the petitioner fulfilling the eligibility criteria, the respondent authorities are directed to consider the case of the petitioner for awarding works in terms of the procedure prescribed on non-discriminating basis.
Subject to the above, the writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, miscellaneous applications, if any pending shall stand disposed of. No costs.
