Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for respondents. The petitioner filed the present writ petition stating that he is a cultivating tenant in respect of the land in an extent of Ac.28.70 cents in Sy.No.323 of Kokalapalli village, Rudrapeta Mandal, Anantapur District, for the last 18 years and the said land belongs to the temple. When the respondent tried to interfere with the land, the present writ petition was filed.
This Court by order dated 02.07.2004 granted order of status quo in respect of the land in an extent of Ac.28.70 cents in Sy.No.323 of Kokalapalli village, Rudrapeta Mandal, Anantapur District. This writ petition was listed for hearing on 23.01.2015 and was adjourned to this day in order to enable the petitioner to obtain instructions in the matter. Now, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that inspite of the best efforts, there was no response from the petitioner and the writ petition can be dismissed for nonprosecution. Recording the statement of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs.
