THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.11488 OF 2017 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed questioning the short tender Notification dated 26.03.2017, issued by the 3rd respondentExecutive Officer, Sri Kalahasthi Swamivari Devasthanam, Sri Kalahasthi.

In terms of the impugned Notification the tender was put open on 30.03.2017 and the tender has been finalised for a sum of Rs.6,30,000/- for the period from 01.04.2017 to 30.04.2017. In the light of the subsequent development, learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that nothing survives in this Writ Petition, however, he expressed an apprehension that the respondent authorities may extend the period of contract to the person, who was successful in the present tender.

On the other hand, learned Standing Counsel submits that it is only petitioner's apprehension, there is no such thing contemplated in the short tender notification and the petitioner can approach this Court in the event of any such development. Recording the respective submissions, Writ Petition is closed, leaving it open to the petitioner to approach the Court, in the event the contract is extended beyond the period notified in the impugned tender notification. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending, shall also stand closed.
