The challenge in this writ petition is in respect of transfer and relieving orders of the petitioner when he was in service. When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is noticed that the petitioner had retired from service during pendency of the writ petition. Therefore, the cause in the writ petition does not survive. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition shall stand closed.
