HONOURABLE Dr. JUSTICE B.SIVA SANKARA RAO Crl.P.No.5119 of 2015 ORDER :

This petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (for short, 'the CrPC') by the Petitioners to quash proceedings in Cr.No.74 of 2015 of Falaknuma Police Station, Hyderabad, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A of I.P.C.

2) The Petitioners and the 2nd respondent/ defacto-complainant present before the Court and stated that they have settled the dispute amicably outside the Court through elders and paid Rs.2,50,000/- to the defacto complaint towards settlement by the petitioners and there was also a kula divorce between the 1st petitioner and 1st respondentdefacto-complainant and the defacto-complainant filed a petition in Crl.P.M.P.No.5225 of 2015, praying to permit her to compound the offence in view of their compromise and quash the proceedings.

3) Having regard to the above, since the offence under Section 498-A of I.P.C. is compoundable as per Section 320 of Cr.P.C., in the interest of justice and the parties wants to purchase peace, permission is accorded by this Court to compound the offence.

4) Accordingly, the petition is allowed and all the proceedings in Cr.No.74 of 2015 of Falaknuma Police Station, Hyderabad are quashed. The bail bonds of the petitioners, if any, shall stand cancelled.

5) Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
