ORDER:

The writ petition is filed for a mandamus to set aside Memo No.RP/Corres./2012, dt.20.12.2012, whereby the respondent has cancelled the petitioner's admission for Ph.D. Programme. This Court by order dt.4.1.2013 granted interim suspension of the impugned proceedings.

The petitioner has filed W.P.M.P. No.22695 of 2015 wherein he has inter alia stated that during the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner has completed the Ph.D. course and was awarded Ph.D. Degree on 4.9.2014, and requested the Court to take up the writ petition for final disposal. He has also filed a copy of Ph.D. Degree in support of this averment, along with the said application. In view of the subsequent event of awarding of Ph.D. Degree in favour of the petitioner, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.

W.P.M.P. No.22695 of 2015 is accordingly allowed and the writ petition is disposed of as infructuous.

As a sequel to disposal of the writ petition, W.P.M.P. No.50658 of 2012 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
