ORDER

This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioners/A.2 and A.3, seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.15 of 2016 of Mahila Police Station, Anantapur, Anantapur District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 506, 342, 307, 313 r/w.34 IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners/A.2 and A.3 and learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the State.

3. On perusal of the entire material available on record, primafacie, there are certain allegations as against the petitioners herein and truth or otherwise of the said allegations can be ascertained by the investigating agency during the course of investigation and this Court is not inclined to quash the proceedings in the said crime at the threshold. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that in view of the pendency of the above crime, the petitioners apprehend arrest and also harassment in the hands of the police.

4. In view of the above, the police concerned are directed to complete the investigation into the crime without arresting the petitioners herein and file a final report, if any, in accordance with law. The petitioners are directed to appear before the investigating agency as and when required and cooperate with the investigating agency.

5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.

6. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
