HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE V. RAMASUBRAMANIAN AND HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE ANIS Writ Petition No.29887 of 2017 ORDER: (V. Ramasubramanian, J) The petitioner, who had second thoughts about taking an admission in the 3rd respondent college when offered, has come up with the present writ petition, seeking a mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent not to delete her name from the select list of the candidates for admission under the NRI quota.

2. Mr. R. Sushanth Reddy, learned counsel, stated that he has been instructed to appear for the 3rd respondent college.

3. It appears that the petitioner was allotted to the 3rd respondent college on 22-07-2017. Unfortunately, the petitioner did not report. On 03-09-2017, she knocked the doors of the 3rd respondent college. But since the extended period of counseling to be over on 04-09-2017, the 3rd respondent college did not consider her request. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. The part of the blame is on the petitioner herself. When given an opportunity on 22-07-2017, she did not avail of the same. It was only on 03-09-2017 after the Supreme Court extended the deadline for deemed Universities that the petitioner thought it fit to take the call. It is represented by the learned counsel for the 3rd respondent that the admissions are now over and no seats are available. In any case, this Court cannot order the admission of

VRS, J & ANIS, J W.P.No.29887 of 2017 student beyond the cutoff stipulated by the Supreme Court. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed, as no relief can be granted to the petitioner.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
