HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION NO. 4673 OF 2017 ORDER:

This Writ Petition was filed challenging the action of 2nd respondent in not completing the investigation in Crime No. 117 of 2016, even after a lapse of ten months.

The second respondent filed counter stating that as per the representation made by the petitioner on 15.2.2017, the entire CD file in connection with Crime was entrusted to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Detective Department, Central Crime Station, Hyderabad, for further investigation in the case. Before sending the file, the Investigating Officer examined the complainant and 12 other witnesses and recorded their statements.

In view of the same, it cannot be said that there was delay in investigating the Crime. However, since the crime is transferred to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Detective Department, Central Crime Station, Hyderabad, it is needless to observe that he should take up the investigation and complete the same, as expeditiously as possible. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
