O R D E R

The grievance of the petitioners is that the respondents are trying to demolish their houses for the purpose of laying road and for drainage facility, without following the due process of law.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners. Sri N.Praveen Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent No.2 - Municipality, on instructions, submits that before undertaking the works for road widening, respondents will follow the due process of law. Heard the learned Assistant Government Pleaders for Municipal Administration, Roads and Buildings and Revenue for respondents 1, 3 and 4 respectively.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, and the submissions of the learned counsel, writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents not to interfere with the possession of the petitioners over the subject property, or demolish the structures, without following the due process of law.

Interlocutory applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
